Disaster Services

The Allegany County Chapter of the American Red Cross ensures disaster planning, preparedness, community disaster education, mitigation and response.

Our volunteers respond day or night, 24 hours a day,
7 days a week, to hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, fires, and other situations that cause human suffering or create human needs that those affected cannot alleviate without assistance.
Disaster volunteers provide vouchers for free food, clothing and shelter to victims of disaster, helping them to pick up the pieces of their lives and get back to living.

You can help by preparing yourself and your family for disasters, and by becoming a disaster volunteer to help others.

If you have experienced a disaster, contact us to request emergency services.
