Our services |
The American Red Cross of Southwestern NY offers many services to help you prepare, prevent and respond to emergencies. |
Blood saves lives, and it is always needed. Every two seconds someone in America needs blood. The Red Cross serves as the bridge between over 4 million generous blood donors and millions of patients in need each year. We serve over 3,000 hospitals around the United States. Click on the link to the left to find out when you can donate the gift of life to your fellow neighbors! |
Each year, the American Red Cross responds immediately to over 70,000 disasters, including house or apartment fires (the majority of disaster responses), hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents, explosions, and other natural and man-made disasters. The good news is that We Can Help. |

Today, the American Red Cross is keeping pace with the changing military. Using the latest computer and telecommunications technology, the Red Cross sends communications on behalf of family members who are facing emergencies or other important events to members of the U.S. Armed Forces serving all over the world. These communications are delivered around-the-clock, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Please have service member name, address, rank, social security number, and birth date ready. |
