Babysitter
Training
Want To Be A Star Babysitter?
Are you prepared to take care of infants and toddlers? We can
help! What does every parent want in a babysitter? Find out at
our Babysitter Training.
This very popular course gives 11 to 15 year olds the knowledge,
skills, and confidence to care for infants and school-age children.
The class teaches participants to:

Respond to emergencies and illnesses with
first aid, rescue breathing, and other appropriate care.

Make decisions under pressure.

Assess families' lifestyles and communicate
with parents.

Understand stages of child development
-
Recognize safety and hygiene issues.

Manage young children safely.
-
Feed, diaper, and care for infants.
The American Red Cross Babysitter's Training
combines video, activities, hands-on skills training and discussion
for the most complete learning experience.
Our chapter offers American Red Cross Babysitting classes throughout

Lifeguard Training
This comprehensive course prepares participants for employment as
lifeguards. Key features include:

CPR, first aid and other lifesaving skills
presented in an aquatic setting

Adult CPR
Adult CPR is used on anyone 12 years of age and older (or over 55
pounds). This class is also a requirement for Child Care Providers
that will be administering medication to children 8 and older in

Infant and Child CPR
This class teaches lifesaving CPR skills for infants and children up
to age 12. If you're a new parent or are ever around babies and
young children, this class is a must to set your mind at ease. Know
what to do if your child quits breathing. Don't wait until it's too

When I'm In Charge (WIIC)
This two-and-a-half-hour course prepares children to respond safely
to a variety of situations when direct parental supervision is
unavailable. Participants will:
